![]() The glass was filthy where I was seated in the booth. I did find the restaurant to be changed, and not in a good way. There are some things I appreciate which are having cloth towels to dry your hands off in the men’s restroom. It used to be a frequent place we would go to however it’s been about a year. Will definitely come back here on our next visit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hearty breakfast or even some lighter fare. I also ordered a bowl of grits - hard to find in most restaurants, but the grits could have been a meal by itself. I ordered Jose's Omelet - eggs, pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion, bacon red and green peppers, and mushrooms - yummy! The pepper jack cheese definitely gave the omelet extra flavor. She also said the coffee was some of the best she's ever had, and she is a coffee connoisseur. ![]() My wife ordered the Not So Simple Breakfast, with cottage potatoes, tomatoes, wheat toast, bacon, and eggs. Spoons Garage serves the same menu as Spoons Cafe, so don't think you'll get a different menu - you won't have that issue. And there was a wait for a table inside as well however, the hostess told us we could go around to the other side of the building to Spoons Garage and get seated immediately. Upon our arrival, it was obvious there would be a wait to get a seat at the outdoor seating area. We visit McKinney yearly and visited Spoons on the recommendation of a friend who previously lived in the area. ![]()
